Everyone is excited for Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar 2 which is slated to release in March 19, 2026. The Aditya Dhar directorial has found itself in some trouble ahead of the release. There are several reports around BMC’s ban as the film violated many norms during the shoot in Mumbai. Now, All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has also issued an official statement on the matter and has supported BMC’s decision. Read here for more about it.
What Is AICWA’s Statement
The All India Cine Workers Association, the President, Suresh Shyamlal Gupta gave an official statement. As per a Moneycontrol report, he has stated that the violations by the Dhurandhar 2 makers were “alarming” and there should be some kind of accountability in the matter. He went on to highlight the importance of maintaining safety and security of the film industry workers, technicians, and laborers, and firmly said that it could not be compromised.
Furthermore, AICWA also extended their support in BMC’s decision to ensure that the safety of the crew working in the movie is not compromised in anyway.

As per the reports, the Dhurandhar 2 team had informed the authorities that no inflammable material would be used for the shoot. However, reportedly they used two generator vans while shooting on a terrace and no permission was taken. Police officials had to intervene, and seize the generators. There were also reports around the film getting postponed due to these reasons, however, such claims were dismissed. The film will release on the same date. A teaser of the film was also dropped recently to give us a glimpse of the second part. Dhurandhar released in theatres on December 5.
