Dhurandhar: The Revenge broke the record with a $2.5 million premiere, becoming the biggest one in Indian cinema history. It has earned around $4 million every single day in the overseas territories since then. Despite not being released in Gulf countries, the film has minted millions of dollars internationally. And after Sunday, Dhurandhar 2’s overseas opening-weekend haul stands at $22 million. As per a report by Box Office Mojo, the Ranveer Singh starrer had a debut in the US of $9.6 million, which made it the third biggest film in North America over the weekend.
Behind only Project Hail Mary, which earned $80 million in its first weekend, and Hoppers, which returned $18 million in its second weekend. Coming back to India, the film earned Rs 454 crores net in just the first four days, which also included three Rs 100 + crore days, the first for any Bollywood film ever. This also brings its worldwide opening-weekend collection to around $80 million.

With an $80-million start, Dhurandhar 2 was the second-highest-grossing film globally for the weekend ending March 22, trailing only Ryan Gosling’s sci-fi drama Project Hail Mary. Despite not opening in India, the picture grossed $140 million worldwide that weekend. However, Dhurandhar 2 finished second, beating Hoppers ($52 million), Ready Or Not 2 ($12 million), and Scream 7 ($10.5 million). Dhurandhar 2 is currently approaching the $100 million threshold, which should propel it into the top ten highest-grossing pictures of the year globally.
