In an unfortunate turn of events, Bollywood’s legendary actor Dharmendra has passed away at 89 on November 24, 2025, at his Mumbai house. This happened just 12 days after he was discharged from Breach Candy Hospital. While his family has not yet released an official statement about the happening, many from the industry, including Karan Johar and Kareena Kapoor Khan, have shared their condolences. Celebs At Dharmendra’s Cremation Ground
On November 24, 2025, many ambulances were seen arriving at Dharmendra’s house and going to the cremation ground. His daughter Esha Deol was seen entering the ground with her face covered. Other than this, industry veteran Amitabh Bachchan arrived with his son Abhishek Bachchan. Aamir Khan also came to the Pawan Hans Crematorium in Mumbai for the actor’s last rites. Other than this, Salim Khan, Shah Rukh Khan’s wife Gauri Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Sanjay Dutt were also seen arriving.

He was released from Breach Candy Hospital and has been recuperating at home ever since. He spent nearly ten days in the hospital after being hospitalised for standard medical examinations. During this time, rumours and inaccurate information about his illness quickly proliferated, forcing the family to intervene and provide clarification.
The news of his demise was confirmed by Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar, who shared his picture on Instagram. He penned a beautiful note for the late star while expressing his gratitude for having the chance to work with him in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani. Dharmendra was scheduled to play Agastya’s grandfather in his farewell movie, Ikkis. The movie is slated to release in theatres on December 25, 2025. He was also recently seen in the Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon film titled Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya.
