Dhanush Files Lawsuit Against Nayanthara In Madras High Court Over Netflix Documentary. More Deets Inside!

Nayanthara and Dhanush are making headlines after the former accused the latter of not allowing her to use footage from his film in her documentary. Nayanthara said that after she edited the documentary to remove any clips from the film, Dhanush sent her a legal notice asking for ₹10 crore for using just “three seconds of behind-the-scenes footage.” She also shared a social media post thanking other producers for giving her permission however now Dhanush has taken legal action against her in the Madras High Court. Why Did Dhanush File A Lawsuit Against Nayanthara?

According to The Hindu, Dhanush’s company, Wunderbar Films Private Limited, has filed a lawsuit against Nayanthara, her husband and filmmaker Vignesh, and their company, Rowdy Pictures Private Limited. As per the lawsuit claims, they have used some footage from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan in the Netflix docu-drama Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale.

Furthermore, Dhanush’s company has also requested the High Court to allow them to sue Los Gatos Production Services India LLP, which is the company Netflix uses for its content investments in India. Since Los Gatos is located in Mumbai, Dhanush asked the court to apply for 12 of the Letters Patent. According to reports, Nayanthara will have to respond to the notice at the next hearing. Moreover, the actors ignored each other during a recent wedding in Chennai and Nayanthara also claimed that Dhanush had a personal issue with her over the use of footage in her Netflix documentary.
