Dhanashree Verma Alleges Yuzvendra Chahal Cheated On Her Two Months Into Marriage

Dhanashree reveals she caught her then husband Yuzvendra cheating on her early into their marriage.

Cricket star Yuzvendra Chahal’s private life is once more under the limelight, courtesy of new claims from his ex-wife, choreographer Dhanashree Verma. On the reality show Rise and Fall, Dhanashree alleged she had caught Chahal cheating on her, merely two months into their marriage and left co-contestant Kubbra Sait stunned. Dhanashree Verma Claims Yuzvendra Chahal Cheated On Her 2 Months After Marriage

Dhanashree Verma confessed while sitting at the dining table with actor Kubbra Sait, as part of the reality show segment. When asked by Kubbra when she knew that her marriage was on the rocks, Dhanashree confessed, “First year. Caught him in the second month.” Kubbra, clearly shocked, responded with a stunned, “Crazy bro.”

This is one of the most straightforward accusations Dhanashree Verma has made regarding her controversial relationship with the cricketer. Earlier in the show, she also discussed long-standing rumours regarding alimony. Denying them, she said, “Officially, it has been nearly a year. It was fast because it was mutual. That’s why when people say alimony, it’s incorrect.” She further added that she didn’t want to justify herself to strangers and would only rationalise her actions to people who were important to her.

Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal got married in December 2020 in Gurugram after they met during the pandemic when Chahal learned dancing from her. But their relationship soured within two years. They officially parted ways in June 2022 and submitted a mutual petition for divorce in February 2023, which was finalised in March.

Talking for the first time regarding her divorce on Humans of Bombay a few months ago, Dhanashree revealed that she cried during the last court hearing. “Despite being so mentally prepared, I got so emotional. I began howling in front of everyone. I could not even describe what I was going through at that moment,” she remembered.

Since their split, Chahal has been romantically associated with RJ Mahvash after the two were seen together at the Champions Trophy final in Dubai. As the rumours of romance intensified, Mahvash has always insisted that she and Chahal are “just friends.”
