Cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal shocked everyone after he wore the “Be your own sugar daddy” t-shirt during his divorce with ex-wife Dhanashree Verma. And during a recent conversation, he revealed that something from her side ignited this move from his side. And now, the actress has finally reacted to this saying that she was also taken aback by this move. Verma said that if he wanted to convey something, he should have done it privately instead of making it public.

During a recent podcast with Humans Of Bombay, Dhanashree Verma broke her silence about her divorce with her ex-husband Yuzvendra Chahal. This conversation comes nearly a month after the cricketer spoke about their separation publicly. She revealed that she had an emotional breakdown during the final hearing in the court. She said that even though she was prepared about what was supposed to happen, she started howling in front of everyone. Dhanashree said, ” I was just howling and crying. Of course! All of that happened, and he (Chahal) walked out first.”
Addressing Yuzvendra Chahal’s t-shirt scandal, she said that she knew she was going to be blamed even before the scandal happened. She said that Yuzvendra Chahal should’ve talked to her privately about it rather than wearing a t-shirt and showing the world. Many blamed Dhanashree after this move and called her names online. The two got married in Gurugram in December 2020. They met during the COVID-19 pandemic when the cricketer asked Verma for life lessons. Their petition states that they will split up in June 2022. On February 5, they filed a joint petition in the family court for divorce by mutual consent. They were given a divorce in March of this year.
