There are many taboos in India related to women, and people use it as a way of subtle sexism to make fun of the gender. One of the very common stereotypes is that women are not good riders or drivers! Ratna Pathak Shah, Fatima Shaikh, Sanjana Sanghi and Dia Mirza starrer Dhak Dhak focuses on talking about this taboo as the story is about these four women taking on a journey to the highest motorable pass in India. The film’s trailer was finally dropped and it looks kaafi heartwarming. From the storyline to the performances, from Dhak Dhak’s trailer, many aspects of the film look quite promising.
Dhak Dhak directed by Tarun Dudeja, and co-written by Parijat Joshi and Tarun Dudeja stars Ratna Pathak Shah, Fatima Shaikh, Sanjana Sanghi and Dia Mirza in lead roles. The trailer shows glimpses of the kind of characters these actresses will be seen playing on screen. From the trailer, we also get to know that the 4 ordinary women who are living a suppressed life finally decide to take on an extraordinary trip to the highest motorable pass in India. The 4 women plan their ride from Delhi to Khardung La in Leh. However, this ride looks kaafi risky, adventurous and filled with obstacles. All the four characters look very sweet and innocent. We are also interested to see how the film deals with the stereotypes that the men have for women when it comes to riding.
