His family lineage is popular as he is the grandson of the legendary filmmaker Bimal Roy.
His mother, Chimmu Acharya, is the daughter of the late filmmaker Basu Bhattacharya and Rinki Roy Bhattacharya, further tying the Acharyas to a prominent cinematic lineage. For the unversed, Anisha lives with her parents, badminton champion Prakash Padukone and Ujjala Padukone, in Bengaluru. Deepika and her actor husband Ranveer recently attended the burial of Drisha’s grandfather-in-law, famous actor Dharmendra, in Mumbai on November 24.
