A few days back, Deepika Padukone made headlines for the Kalki 2 controversy. The makers of the show released an official statement to announce that the actor would no longer be a part of the film due to professional differences. Now, some reports suggest that DP had shot for some days before the makers reached this conclusion. Other speculated reasons as to why the actor left the project have also surfaced. Deepika Padukone’s Exit From Kalki 2

Deepika Padukone no longer being a part of Kalki Part 2 came as a shock for many of us. There are various reasons why this could have happened. Now, as per a News 18 report, a source has claimed that Deepika Padukone had shot for the film for 20 days and director Nag Ashwin had confirmed that himself. Furthermore, DP was quite confident about her strong and performance-driven role in the second part of Kalki and basis that, she had also demanded a slightly higher that 25% hike in her fee. The actor also believed that she was irreplacable. As per the report, the source also dismissed the claims of date clash as the reason of DP not being a part of this film.

In its statement, makers had said that they could not reach a mutual agreement with Deepika Padukone and that the film needed more commitment. The makers also wished well to the actress. A few days later, DP shared a post to announce the beginning of her shoot for Shah Rukh Khan starrer King.

DP also took a break from films and work and welcoming her first child with Ranveer Singh. They named their child Dua.
