However, it seems the fans’ wishes to see her in it might not come true as the actress has allegedly turned down the opportunity to star in the fourth instalment. An insider told Variety India that auditions are an important part of the casting process for The White Lotus. They added that the showmakers were keen on auditioning actors before signing them on. However, Deepika Padukone was reportedly not keen on auditioning, and that was the reason why The White Lotus opportunity had to be passed. It was also reportedly said that the show creators were looking forward to getting the Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani star on the show, adding that they approached her for the last season. But the actress turned it down, as she was pregnant at the time.
