After delivering a high-octane action flick titled Pathaan at the box office earlier this year, Deepika Padukone is gearing up for her next big-budget film titled Project K. The poster of this sci-fi thriller has been released and there is an immense buzz around the film because of its stellar cast. The project is directed by Nag Ashwin, and the film’s title left fans wondering what the K could stand for. But looks like the mystery is solved as the film’s true title has been revealed.
As per a Pinkvilla report, Nag Ashwin’s high-anticipated project has been titled as KaalChakra. A source close to this development told the aforementioned entertainment portal that the film’s new name has a Mahabharata connection. They also explained how KaalChakra literally translates to ‘wheel of time’ and that Lord Krishna is helping with its function.
Interestingly, Amitabh Bachchan who essays an important role in the project and his character traits are similar to that of Ashwathama from Mahabharata. In fact, Prabhas’ character from the film KaalChakra finds similarities with Lord Krishna.
The final title reveal of the film will be done on July 20, and there are chances that it could be something else than KaalChakra too. So, fans will have to hold their horses a couple of days more.

Project K is also a very important film that will go on to do what no other Indian film has before. It will be the first Indian film to be present at Comic-Con this year, which is a huge feat! Apart from Amitabh Bachchan, and Prabhas, Project K also stars Kamal Haasan in a prominent role which assures fans that it is indeed going to be grand and a big-budget film. This film project is set for a theatrical release in 2023.
