The Hollywood film industry is currently going through some very tough times. The actors and writers have gone on an indefinite strike to protest against the losses brought into their professions due to the use of Artificial Intelligence. Actor Priyanka Chopra also showed her solidarity with the actors’ union and now Deepika Padukone has also joined the list. The actress will be showing her support in this strike by not participating in the comic-con event where her upcoming film Project-K will be launched.
Deepika Padukone will soon be seen opposite South Indian actor Prabhas in the film Project K directed by Nag Ashwin. She took extreme pride in announcing that Project K will be the first Indian film to be launched at Comic-Con. However, as per media reports, the Bajirao Mastani actress will no longer be attending the event that will be held in San Deigo. It is said that Deepika Padukone will show her solidarity with the Hollywood actors in their protest against technology becoming a threat to their jobs. The Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Radio and Television Artists (SAG-AFTRA) led protest was joined by many big Hollywood actors, and Priyanka Chopra also became a part of it. Now, Deepika Padukone is also on this list as the actress has done a Hollywood film too.
For the unversed, Deepika Padukone played a significant role in her Hollywood debut film XXX: Return Of Xander Cage. The Padmaavat actress has been a part of the jury members in many global film events and also graced the Oscars 2023 too as one of the presenters.
