Uorfi Javed Visits Kamakhya Temple

On Wednesday, July 1, Uorfi Javed took to her Instagram and shared pictures of herself dressed in a lime green kurta with a pink dupatta covering her head. She also had a ceremonial stole around her shoulders with a red tikka posing in front of the temple. In the caption, she wrote, “Visited Kamakhya Devi temple in Guwahati.” This visit especially caught attention of the fans since it came just days after reports alleged that Uorfi had converted to Hinduism and had even changed her name to Rita Bhardwaj.

These rumours got so much attention that Javed herself had to dismiss all of this through her Instagram stories. She stated that she had neither converted to Hinduism or any other religion nor changed her name. Uorfi also revealed that she in fact did not believe in any religion all together. Before this, a creator named Faizan Ansari also claimed that she was expelled by Muslims from Islam and had renamed herself as “Geeta Bharadwaj.”
