Recently, he shocked the internet with a shocking statement about his dad, who is also a musician, Daboo Mallik and called him a “failure.” This happened during a debate with fellow contestant Gaurav Khanna. It appears that Amaal Mallik’s father may not have liked the harsh remark he made about him on national television. Daboo Mallik took to his X handle and shared a tweet that stated that some individuals carry battles that others can’t see. He added that just being there on the toughest days is also courageous which is something many people don’t talk about. He added “Picture Abhi Baaki Hai..Kaun Jeeta Kaun Haara…Meri Kahani Ab Shuru Hoti Hai.” (Picture is still left, who won and who lost…my story starts now).

For the unversed, in one of the previous episodes a debate between Amaal and Gaurav Khanna broke out which was about nepotism and outsiders’ struggles. Gaurav defended the outsiders while Amaal highlighted the struggles his family had gone through even after having industry connections. During the same the composer made the said remark about his father.
