In February 2024, D4vd released a music video for his song ‘Romantic Homide.’ The video depicted a man dressed in a bloody shirt, dragging a body, before two men put the body in the back of a car trunk. After the news about Celeste’s death came out, fans were quick to draw comparisons from the music video to the real-life tragedy. Even the actress who plays the female lead in the music video for ‘One More Dance’ looks very similar to the 15-year-old missing teenager.
People in the music video’s comments expressed their concerns and shock. “Crazy bro showed a body going in a trunk. Netflix is about to have a field day with this documentary,” said one commentator, while another talked about how everything is so obvious, and the singer definitely played a part in Celeste’s death.
Other evidence, such as discord comments and past live streams, has also surfaced where D4vd and his fans appear to be talking about Celeste, being well aware that she was underage. D4vd’s team has also pulled some of the singer’s merchandise from his website, including the bloody shirt that was featured in the ‘One More Dance’ music video.

Authorities are currently investigating the case and have made no arrests yet. A recent update of the case was that the police searched D4vd’s Los Angeles home and seized some items that can be used as evidence in Celeste Rivas’ death. D4vid has cancelled all his upcoming shows and said that he will be fully cooperating with the investigation.
