American singer D4vd had been at the centre of a major scandal after the body of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas was found in his abandoned car. The teenager had gone missing in 2024 and was later found in a Tesla registered under D4vd’s name. The case is currently under investigation, and new information about the ‘Romantic Homicide’ singer has also come to light. Read on to know more.
D4vd’s Family Harassed Amid Ongoing Investigation For Celeste Rivas’ Death
The Los Angeles police department (LAPD) recently shared an update that their detectives are following up on multiple leads in the Celeste Rivas’ murder case. It was also revealed that d4vd’s family was harassed days after the teenager’s body was discovered.
On 18 September, Texas police responded to reports of an active shooter with one person believed to be dead at D4vd’s family home in Hampstead. However, when the police got there, the singer’s parents calmly greeted them, and no signs of a shooting occurring were present at the house.
As per footage obtained by TMZ, D4vd’s mother assured the police that only she, her husband and daughter were in the house and all of them were unharmed. However, they did express their fear of the house being broken into.
After D4vd’s family home was searched by the police, nothing alien or dangerous was found. Eventually, the Texas police put down the report as a swatting call. A swatting call, as per the Department of Homeland Security, is making malicious hoax calls to emergency services to falsely report an ongoing emergency, such as a violent crime or explosive device at a certain location.”

On the other hand, police are still investigating Celeste’s case. Her body was recently handed to her family for her funeral. D4vd has not been named a suspect in the case yet. Meanwhile, D4vd’s manager, Josh Marshall, denied all speculations of his involvement in the matter, saying that he used to work for the artist remotely most of the time, so his interactions with D4vd were limited.
