Comedian Russell Brand Now Faces 7 Charges After 2 New R*pe, S*xual Assault Cases: Reports
Russell Brand is yet to appear at the Westminster Magistrates' Court on January 20, 2026, for the new charges.
Famous British comedian and actor Russell Brand has landed himself in controversy in the UK after being charged with two offences. As per reports, the charges include one count of r*pe and a s*xual assault as authorised by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) in a statement by the police. For the unversed, he has previously been accused of two r*pe counts, two counts of s*xual assault, and one indecent assault of four women in connection with the case and pleaded not guilty to them in May.
About Russell Brand
He is yet to appear at the Westminster Magistrates’ Court on January 20, 2026, for the new charges, which allegedly took place in 2009 and relate to separate women. TMZ reported that Detective Chief Inspector Tariq Farooqi from the Metropolitan Police is leading the investigation and said, “The women who have made reports, including those connected to the two new charges, continue to receive support from specially trained officers.”
