India is currently gearing up for the upcoming Coldplay concert and looks like we have an early present. At their recent concert in Abu Dhabi, Chris Martin read our Lover boy- Diljit Dosanjh’s famous dialogue “Punjabi Aagaye Oye.” This Punjabi catchphrase was held by a fan in the audience catching the singer’s attention. This has made fans more excited for their concert and the duo’s mysterious collaboration.

In a video released by singer Diljit Dosanjh’s fans on Instagram Stories on Friday, Chris Martin was seen playing on stage in Abu Dhabi when his gaze was drawn to a sign in the crowd. He read it out and exclaimed, “Punjabi aa gaye oye,” much to the joy of the listeners.

He then immediately added, “We love you, too.” Chris Martin congratulated Diljit on his Instagram Story, writing, “PUNJABI AA GAYE OYE (heart eyes emoji)…..!!!!” Chris Martin viewing Coldplay fan posters and flags is very wholesome.” The term gained popularity after Diljit Dosanjh stated it during his Coachella performance in 2023. Diljit was the first Indian performer to appear on the coveted Coachella stage. The phrase has become the singer’s mantra for advancing the Punjabi music business abroad.
Coldplay plans to return to India for their Music of the Spheres tour. They will begin by performing in Mumbai on January 18-19, and 21. After Mumbai, they’ll do two performances in Ahmedabad on January 25 and 26. This tour marks their return to India after almost eight years. Their last appearance in India was at the Global Citizen Festival in Mumbai in 2016.
