Many on X called it a “soulless sequel”, stating that though they went in to watch a fun and vibrant love story, they came out feeling confused. They called the film “hollow” and “frustrating.” Talking about the performances, the most loved of the three was Kriti Sanon, whose performance is being widely praised. Netizens say that she can fit into any role that is given to her. On the other hand, they are also praising Shahid Kapoor for having fun with his role. However, the internet is not happy with Rashmika Mandanna, and is telling her to “improve her Hindi.” Many criticised her for having a clear “Telugu accent” while delivering lines in a Bollywood film, and how it affected her performance.

Many went as far as telling the internet to “sit at home” and watch the original Cocktail since this one is far from the one with Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty. Having said that, the other side of the internet had a lot of fun watching this romance-filled film featuring Shahid, Kriti, and Rashmika. They stated that all three were vibrant, and the film’s aesthetic appeal was too good. They called it “fun and breezy” and a “quick watch.”
