Speculations about the couple being pregnant were swirling around for quite a while, but they never made an official announcement. These speculations were further fueled by Alba’s father, Louis Baptista, leaving a commitment on a Father’s Day post that said, “Many thanks, dear Chris. Your turn is coming.” For Evans, having a family and becoming a father has always been the ultimate dream, and the star has been extremely vocal about it, too. After being crowned as the ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ by People Magazine in 2022, he opened up about building a home and having children was something he always looked forward to.
Evans and Baptista are well-known for keeping their relationship mostly hidden from the public, having taken great care to protect their privacy from the beginning of their romance. After being seen together in Central Park in New York in late 2022, the two initially gave rise to dating rumours. They exchanged vows in two ceremonies a year later, one in Portugal and one at their home in Boston. According to reports, guests were required to sign non-disclosure agreements and put their phones away to maintain the privacy of the activities.
The 28-year-old Baptista started her career on Portuguese television, with appearances in A Impostora, Filha da Lei, Jardins Proibidos, and A Criação. She shot to prominence when she landed her first international role in Netflix’s Warrior Nun (2020). She later costarred with Jason Isaacs and Lesley Manville in Mrs Harris Goes to Paris (2022).
