Hidden Love For You

As reported by Drama Panda, Jinjiang, the publishing company, issued a statement explaining that their contract with Wajijiwa Entertainment was clear. The author of the novel, Zhu Yi, only allowed Wajijiwa to create a web drama based on the book. Jinjiang stated that Wajijiwa did not have permission to produce a short drama and warned that if Wajijiwa went ahead with the short drama, Jinjiang might take legal action for violating the contract and infringing on the copyright.

In response, Wajijiwa, the production company, stated that their agreement covers more than just a web drama. They claimed that the contract gives them rights to create both film and TV versions, which includes making and sharing the content. Wajijiwa further added that their contract uses a broad definition of film and television, covering movies, TV shows, online series, and online films. They also stated that there are no restrictions on the length of these online series.
