Maharashtra Minister Uday Samant voiced his opinion against Vicky Kaushal dancing in the film Chhaava. Now, directed Laxman Utekar has finally responded to the controversy and has decided to make these edits after his long meeting with Raj Thackeray. Laxman Utekar spoke about his meeting with Raj Thackeray and said that he took some guidance from him on the matter. The director further added that the meeting was very helpful and he had decided to remove the part where Vicky Kaushal’s Chattrapati Sambhaji Maharaj is performing the lezim dance.

The director also said that there will special premiere of the film on January 29 which will be attended by historians and ministers to get their guidance on the film.
