Chaudhary Aslam’s Wife Bashes Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar Over His Controversial Portrayal. Here’s What She Said
Noreen came to discuss her husband, Chaudhary Aslam, in Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar, played by Sanjay Dutt.
Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar, featuring Ranveer Singh, has been stealing the spotlight with its stellar performances. As per reports, the film is set to draw from real-life scenarios to present a semi-fictionalised account of India’s war against Pakistan terror attacks. It particularly shows the gangs of Karachi’s Lyari, including the dynamic Karachi SP, Chaudhary Aslam Khan. The cop’s role is played by Sanjay Dutt, but now Aslam’s widow, Noreen, has commented on her husband’s portrayal.
About Dhurandhar
During a recent appearance on The Dialogue Pakistan podcast, Noreen came to discuss her husband, Chaudhary Aslam, in Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar. She said that her husband had been a huge fan of Sanjay Dutt ever since he saw his film Khalnayak in the 90s. She also expressed her disappointment with her husband’s portrayal and had hoped that Dutt would do justice to it. However, she had one criticism. In the film’s trailer, a character describes Aslam as the offspring of the ‘devil’ and a ‘djinn’.
During the conversation, Noreen stated that they are Muslims, and such language was disrespectful not only to the late Pakistani cop but also to his mother. She made her stance on the film plain and revealed that if her husband, Chaudhary Aslam, is in any way incorrectly shown in Dhurandhar, she will take serious legal action against it.
