Charlie Puth recently replied to ARMYs wondering why he wasn’t credited on BTS’ ARIRANG album. The tracklist for the upcoming full-length record was released on March 3, 2026. Fans were surprised by the fact that the ‘Left and Right’ singer was absent from the credits and featured artists. Puth took to Instagram to respond to netizens confused about his appearance in a BTS member’s album-making post. Read on to find out what the American singer had to say!

BTS’ Arirang Does Not Feature Charlie Puth, Says He Just Happened To Be Recording At The Same Time!

In 2025, J-hope of BTS posted a collection of images showcasing the group’s process behind ‘ARIRANG’. One of the slides showed Charlie Puth in the tiny studio space, vibing with Jungkook. This took place in Los Angeles, where the K-pop dynamos put together most of their album. Of course, many conjectured that Puth would be contributing to their upcoming studio album.

However, when the tracklist credits dropped, there was no mention of the American singer-songwriter anywhere. Confused, fans took to social media to express their questions. And because they were bewildered, they decided to make memes about it. In one, the original poster added the video with Charlie and Jungkook hanging out, wondering if Puth had gone to the studio to entertain Jungkook.

This clip and caption ended up on the ‘See You Again’ singer’s feed. He responded simply, saying that he had “stopped by to say hello” because he happened to be building his article in the same studio, but a different room. He added that he “loved” meeting BTS again.

Assuredly, fans lost it. They found it hilarious that the singer himself had to put the weird rumours to rest. Some others scolded those making fun. It could be construed negatively by Charlie Puth. One comment even said that they understood why Charlie had dropped by just to hang out with BTS, and they would do the same.
