In an exclusive interview with Hauterrfly’s The Male Feminist with host Siddhaarth Aalambayan, Chahatt Khanna opened up about child abuse. She said, “Once or twice, I didn’t understand. Somebody touched me and went. And these old people have a habit. I don’t know why. Young boys will still do less. Old people have a habit. I have heard this so much. I think old people are more. This happened with me when I was very young. So, this uncle was there in my society. And he used to make me sit on his lap. And I was like, He is a Bengali uncle.

He gives sweets and chocolates. I didn’t understand anything. Two years back – you won’t believe. Just two years back, I got to know. I met my childhood friend. She told me about somebody. That girl had filed a case against that uncle for molestation. Then I realised. He used to do the same thing that he used to do with me. And she was a little elder than me. So, she realised what he was doing.”

She further added, “So, I heard that story, and I got shivers. I was like, I had goosebumps. I was like, You know what? The same thing happened with me. I just realised it two years back. So, this was the first incident where you didn’t even know what was happening to you. Yeah, I didn’t know. Thank God, today kids are told about our safe touch. So, my daughter has been taught in her school. What is the right touch, and what are the bad and wrong touches? You know, kids are taught in school these days. So, this was the first time. I have no memory much about it. Not much.”
