Cha Eun Woo Removed From Military Series After Tax Controversy, Actor Rowoon Steps In

Cha Eun Woo’s recent tax controversy may have prompted his removal from the military series That Day in the Military. All videos with Cha Eun Woo on the Defense Media Agency’s KFN Plus have been removed. He is now being replaced by K-drama actor Rowoon, a former member of SF9. The series features celebrity storytellers talking about the South Korean military.

That Day In The Military Replaces Cha Eun Woo With Rowoon

That Day in the Military (TDITM) is a series with popular personalities discussing history and people with respect to South Korea. An official production by the military, other actors such as Song Kang and Taeyong (of NCT) have also hosted the show before.

Cha Eun Woo has been serving as the TDITM storyteller since 2025. Although he had been part of four episodes so far, they have since disappeared. Supposedly, they were withdrawn after the claims of tax evasion against the True Beauty actor came out.

On March 5, 2026, a Korean media outlet reported that Rowoon would appear in the series. No episodes featuring the Tomorrow actor have been released so far. However, Hankook Ilbo said that the former SF9 idol has confirmed that he has begun preparations for filming.

More About Rowoon’s Time In The Military

Actor and singer Rowoon, real name Kim Seok Woo, enlisted in the military on October 27, 2025. As an able-bodied Korean man, he has started active service. Apparently, in a previous evaluation, he was assigned Grade 7. This means that the individual had a temporary health issue and would need a later examination. Therefore, the start of his service was pushed from July to October 2025. Eventually, he was reevaluated fit for active duty and began service in October.

After debuting as a part of SF9 in 2016, he continued being part of the group till 2023. All the while, Rowoon was juggling a blossoming acting career. Eventually, he decided to switch focus to acting fully, having starred in a wide variety of K-dramas since then. Some of his better-known roles were in Extraordinary YouTomorrow, and most recently, Disney+’s The Murky Stream.
