Cha Eunwoo’s Company Fantagio Apologises For Fan Call Event
Cha Eunwoo recently shared a message on X (formerly Twitter) that contained a phone number. In the post, the phone number is featured along with the words “Call now, before the sound disappears.”
When Eun Woo’s fans dialled the number, a pre-recorded message from the True Beauty actor played out on the other side of the line. Many loved this gesture as the idol is currently serving in the military and is unable to greet his fans in person. The strategy was reportedly designed by Cha Eun Woo himself as a special gift to comfort fans during his military service.

However, on November 5, the idol’s company, Fantagio, released a statement in which they apologised for causing inconvenience. There were reports of fans misdialling the number and causing inconvenience to others.
In their statement, Fantagio emphasised that only the official number given by the company should be used by fans to contact Eun Woo to prevent further unintended inconvenience or harm. The mishap was reportedly a concern even before Cha Eun Woo’s event was announced to the public, as netizens worried that people with the same number but different area codes might be inconvenienced.
