Celina Jaitly Requests PM Modi To Help With Release Of Detained Brother In UAE

Former actor Celina Jaitly has made an important request to the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi for her brother held in detention in the UAE. He is an ex-Indian Army Special Forces officer, and has been in detention in the United Arab Emirates since 2024. Celina Jaitley has urged the PM to get his brother released an has claimed that he has been held without any prosecution.
What Did Celina Jaitly Say?
The former actor recently discovered that her brother Major (retd) Vikrant Jaitly was recently shifted to Al-Wathba Detention Centre in Abu Dhabi. Celina Jaitly stated that her brother was picked up from Mall of the Emirates parking area by some unidentified men who asked him about his Emirates ID. In a statement to India Today, she stated that her brother was in a foreign jail without any prosecution and questioned the delay in providing him legal aid. She further requested PM Modi to bring back the soldier of the country who had given his youth in service of the nation. Celina Jaitley further added that if her brother had done something wrong, he would have been prosecuted by now.
She further urged the people to stand behind the soldiers and assured her brother that ‘didi’ would move mountains to bring him back. As per a Hindustan Times reports, the Delhi High Court has passed a judgement on the matter and has allowed the appointment of a UAE-based legal firm that can represent Celina Jaitly’s brother. Now any advocate in the UAE can take up her brother’s case.
For the unversed, Celina Jaitly recently also accused her husband of violence and claimed that he blocked her contact with their children.
