Kareena Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Shabana Azmi, And More Pick THESE Films As Their Favourite Of The Year!

It’s almost the end of 2024 and the year has been a good one for the Indian film industry. With prominent films like Laapataa Ladies, Pushpa: The Rule, and Crew ruling the box office. Just like us, Bollywood stars have also shared their favourite films of the year. From Kareena Kapoor Khan voting Laapataa Ladies as her favourite to Vicky Kaushal picking THIS superhit film starring Shraddha Kapoor, Here’s everything you need to know!

Kareena Kapoor Khan

Kareena Kapoor didn’t pick one but three films. The first one she picked was Kiran Rao’s hit for the year- Laapataa Ladies co-produced by Aamir Khan. While it was selected as India’s official entry to the Oscars, it didn’t make the list. She then picked brother-in-law Kunal Khemmu’s directorial debut- Madgaon Express. It starred Pratik Gandhi, Avinash Tiwary, and Divyenndu.  Her third pick was her own film – The Buckingham Murders, directed by Hansal Mehta.

Vicky Kaushal

Vicky Kaushal picked all of our favourites from this year- Stree 2, starring Rajkumar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, and more. His favourites also included two South Films- Maharaja starring Vijay Sethupathi, and Chidambaram S. Poduval’s Malayalam survival thriller Manjummel Boys. He said that these were the only three films he watched this year.

Rajkummar Rao

The Stree 2 star also went on to pick Madgaon Express, and Prem Kumar’s Tamil dramedy Meiyazhagan. Blessy’s Aadujeevitham: The Goat Life, says that  Prithviraj Sukumaran’s performance in the film was mindblowing.

Pratik Gandhi

The Madgaon Express actor’s credits included Payal Kapadia’s Golden Globe-nominated multilingual feature All We Imagine As Light, Scam 1992, Gandhi director Hansal Mehta’s The Buckingham Murders, and Maharaja.

Shabana Azmi

The legendary actor said she loved Shuchi Talati’s coming-of-age film Girls Will Be Girls, which is currently streaming on Prime Video India. Pushing Buttons Films, founded by Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal, makes its production debut.

Anna Ben

Anna Ben also picked Shuchi Talati’s Girls Will Be Girls along with Rahul Sadasivan’s Malayalam period folk horror film Brahmayugam, starring Mammootty, and Maharaja.

Kani Kusruti

The All We Imagine As Light and Girls Will Be Girls actor mentioned Christo Tomy’s Malayalam feature Ullozhukku, starring Parvathy and Urvsashi, Anand Ekarshi’s Malayalam film Aattam, and Karan Kandhari’s genre-bending comedy Sister Midnight, starring Radhika Apte, which has yet to be released.
