Andy Byron Can Sue Coldplay
After they were caught in a cosy pose, Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot hid from the kiss cam at the concert. After this, Chris Martin cheekily addressed this to the fans by saying, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.” Attorney Camron Dowlatshahi told Page Six that they could sue him as neither of the parties has publicly admitted to having an affair, and it’s been revealed that they both have spouses.
The MSD Lawyer also highlighted how Byron would have to prove in the court that Martin knew or should have known that he was not cheating, “but made the statement anyway with malice.” But he also doubted that the ex-CEO would want to drag this public scrutiny for a ‘frivolous’ case against the band or the organisers.

Ray Seili, attorney at Kinsella Holley Iser Kump Steinsapir LLP, told the publication that a lawsuit from him would only grow media attention. Chris’s comments don’t meet the threshold of defamation, especially if the allegations about the affair are true. Experts also highlight that Byron had no expectations of privacy at a public event and waived related rights by purchasing the ticket.
