BTS V made history today by becoming the only South Korean celebrity to attend the Vogue World Hollywood event on October 26. The singer was previously approached by Vogue’s Anna Wintour and personally got invited to the event by her at the Celine show in Paris. The BTS singer appeared wearing a beautiful hanbok-inspired custom outfit by Korean designer Jaybaek Couture. BTS V’s Korean-Inspired Outfit At Vogue World Hollywood Event
BTS V wore two custom-made outfits at the Vogue World Hollywood event. The first one was a long grey hanbok-inspired overcoat, the waist of which cinched with a belt. It was, however, the charm on the belt that caught people’s attention. Hanging from V’s thin belt was a traditional norigae, that is, a traditional Korean pendant often seen attached to Hanboks. A Norigae is believed to be a symbol of good luck and prosperity.
The singer’s second outfit, also custom-made by Jaybaek Couture, was a grey suit. This fit also consisted of another Korean detail, a vintage watch. The watch dates back 120 years, and was brought to Korea from abroad during the era of King Gojong, the famous leader who ruled the country for 47 years.
Many fans and netizens praised BTS V for choosing to wear a Korean brand instead of a global fashion house for Vogue World Hollywood. The artist’s outfits paid tribute to his Korean roots while also incorporating modern fashion and style in them.

The Vogue World Hollywood event was held at Paramount Pictures Studios in Hollywood and celebrated fashion and film. Many iconic films like Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Psycho and more were shot in this historical film studio. Hosted by Vogue, the event was attended by top designers, filmmakers, actors and singers.
