Recently, V, also known as Kim Taehyung, appeared on Jung Jaehyung’s popular YouTube variety show called Fairy Jaehyung. During their conversation, the ‘Slow Dancing’ singer surprised fans by revealing that he almost quit his dream of becoming a singer after seeing actor Kang Dong Won. Wondering why? During the friendly chat on Jaehyung’s channel, V opened up about his childhood dream. He shared that he wanted to become a singer ever since elementary school. It all started when his teacher asked the class to pick a future job that ended with the Korean word “-sa”. While other kids chose common things, the ‘Slow Dancing’ singer surprised everyone by saying he wanted to be a singer. His grandmother gently explained what singers and actors looked like in the eyes of society.
Jaehyung smiled and was all praise for V’s family. Many times families push their children toward safe careers, but the ‘Slow Dancing’ singer’s loved ones gave him room to follow his heart. Following which, V shared a touching story. One day, his grandmother showed him a big banner featuring the handsome actor Kang Dong Won. She pointed at the picture and said those were the kind of people who usually became stars.
At that young age, the ‘Slow Dancing’ singer felt shocked. He looked at Kang Dong Won’s perfect features and thought he could never match up. For a while, he quietly gave up on his singing dream, believing he did not have the right appearance to succeed in the entertainment world.

But deep inside, V’s love for music and performing never faded. He remembered all the moments and kept his passion alive. Slowly, he found the courage to chase his goal again. He focused on improving his skills and enjoying every step instead of worrying about looks. Thank god!
