BTS members often go viral for their cute and adorable way of speaking English. Only RM, aka Kim Namjoon, the leader, speaks English fluently. The other members don’t, so every time they try, the moment makes rounds online. The latest one was V, also known as Kim Taehyung, who said “teasing” but it sounded like “kissing” to many. The clip went viral, and now it looks like the ‘Slow Dancing’ singer is practicing hard to improve his English skills. Read on to know all about it!
On March 30, V shared a series of Instagram Stories showing him working hard to improve his English. In the videos, he practices simple phrases that people use at restaurants. The ‘Slow Dancing’ singer kept repeating lines like ordering food, asking for the bill, and asking for recommendations. He also practiced saying “For seven days” many times to make sure his pronunciation was correct. He also showed his study table with an open English book and several YouTube lessons playing on his screen.
Along with the videos, V added a short yet important message. He said he was fully “locked in” this time and would not make any excuses.
Next, what? It went viral instantly and ARMYs all over the world shared their thoughts. Many fans found his efforts adorable and loved his soft accent. Others felt proud of how dedicated he is. Some ARMYs believed he was practising so he could talk more easily with fans from different countries during BTS’s future activities.
Not just this, many fans playfully connected this practice to a funny moment from the group’s recent interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. In the show, Taehyung said he missed Jungkook’s teasing, but his pronunciation made it sound like “kissing”.
Jimmy Fallon looked surprised, the audience laughed loudly, and the moment created massive buzz across social media platforms. Fans started joking that the funny mistake had led the ‘Slow Dancing’ singer to study English.
Furthermore, what made it even more special?? Leader RM reposted one of V’s stories and added a kind message in Korean that simply meant “You’re doing well.”
