BTS Sweep Billboard Charts With Arirang. The Kings Have Returned!

BTS-SWIM-Arirang-Take-Over-Billboard-Charts-Legends

BTS recently made a giant comeback after four years. The seven members were away because of military service and on March 20, they released their fifth album, Arirang. Fans around the world became very excited to hear new music from them again, and now, according to reports, the album and its title track have taken over the Billboard charts. Read on to know!

The title track, Swim, debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and became their seventh number-one song on this list. It is also their first since 2021, before the group took a break. Interestingly, seven seems to be a lucky number for them right now.

The entire album Arirang also reached number one on the Billboard 200 chart. In its first week, it earned 641,000 equivalent album units. 532,000 of these came from direct sales. But you know what’s crazier? This is the biggest sales week for any group album in more than ten years.

With these wins, BTS became the group with the highest number of number one hits in recent years. They now have a higher number of number-one albums and songs than most other groups. On the Global 200 chart, they took the top nine spots at the same time. This matches the record set by Taylor Swift for the most top ten songs in one week. BTS also became the first group to hold all top ten positions on the Global Excl. U.S. chart.
