There have also been comparisons drawn between them and BLACKPINK’s Lisa. She had dealt with a similar situation while filming a music video for her album. Read on to find out what preparations have been made for BTS’ upcoming comeback and why those who work around the area are not happy.

BTS’ Gwanghwamun Square Concert Miffs Seoul Residents, Contrasts With BLACKPINK’s Lisa Music Video Filming

ARMYs are super excited to watch BTS perform together as seven for the first time since 2022. Due to their upcoming comeback show at Gwanghwamun Square, the everyday commutes of Seoul residents have been disrupted. According to reports, the metro would skip stops, and buses would alter their regular routes away from the area. Additionally, a massive number of security personnel would be hired to ensure the safety of the group and fans on March 21, 2026.

While this sounds great for the ‘Dynamite’ group, some social media users have expressed concern for those living closeby or commuting there. They would be inconvenienced due to the comeback concert, netizens think. This has invited comparison with BLACKPINK’s Lisa and her ‘Rockstar’ music video.

Did BLACKPINK’s Lisa Compensate Shopkeepers For Disrupting Their Day While Filming An MV?

The rapper had filmed her MV in the wee hours of the morning at Yaowarat Road in Chinatown, Bangkok. Clips used in the final cut were shot between 2 am and 5 am. Despite the early hour, some businesses had to stop working.

To compensate for their loss of revenue, Lisa reportedly gave the shopowners 20,000 Thai Baht (a little more than $600 USD). Additionally, pedestrians and ordinary citizens who had to avoid using the road and the barricaded area also received 1,000 Thai Baht (about $30 USD). The 20K Baht is more than the average Thai’s monthly salary, so her generosity was received positively.

However, some SNS users pointed out that the amount was incorrect and she had not compensated a lesser sum.

While netizens thought she was cool, BTS’ lack of response to a similar situation was also discussed. On the flip side, fans pointed out that the concert would boost the economy by inviting tourists to Seoul.
