BTS RM recently held a live on Weverse where he addressed some ongoing questions about the group and himself. The leader spoke frankly about his worries, about BTS’ future activities and even discussed the possibility of disbanding. Many fans understood RM’s concerns and supported him. However, he also received backlash for his comments, responding to which the BTS star posted an apology. Read on to know more.
BTS RM’s Apology Note
After his recent Weverse live attracted criticism and scrutiny, BTS RM posted a public apology addressing the situation. On December 8th, the group’s leader took to Weverse, a fan messaging platform, and uploaded a lengthy post along with a picture of himself making a heart.
During his live, RM had openly talked about the pressure he went through along with the group, and revealed there were multiple moments where they had discussed breaking up. ARMYs appreciated his honesty; however, others were blindsided by his comments and felt that they were “disrespectful”.
In his apology note, RM wrote, “I think I may have made a lot of ARMYs feel tired with the livestream two days ago. I’m really sorry.” He added that messages from concerned fans started flooding him, and he regrets doing the livestream. He explained that he felt frustrated and was sorry, and requested fans to look at him kindly.
Following his note, BTS RM then also shared some life updates with the fans. He revealed that he will be taking a driving lesson soon. “Yesterday I put on the sticker for driving practice, and drove through all 4 practice courses. It was scary,” he shared.

Career-wise, BTS RM got discharged from his mandatory military service in June. Following that, RM, along with other members of the group, went to LA for a song camp to work on their upcoming album, which is scheduled to be released in March 2026.
