Fame comes with its own set of problems, and K-pop idols know this all too well. They are constantly watched and followed wherever they go. BTS have also struggled with privacy, especially when some fans cross the line between support and invasion. Now, RM has spoken up after large crowds gathered outside the group’s hotel in Peru. Read on to know all about it.
BTS RM Calls Out Fans Camping Outside Hotel
The group recently arrived in Peru for their concert. Soon, a large number of fans gathered and stayed outside the hotel where the members and their staff were staying. The noise was reportedly so loud that it could be heard inside their rooms.
NAMJOON UPDATED HIS WEVERSE POST 🐨 Hello everyone in Latin America, we are now here in Peru. It’s the first time in my life coming to Peru, so I’m very excited and happy (but) ! Because of the people stationed all day long in front the hotel that we’re staying in, the members and staff are having a really hard time. It’s so noisy even into the rooms, that we all haven’t been able to sleep much. Not only that, but we are becoming a great inconvenience to the other guests staying at the hotel. We are grateful for your warm welcoming hearts and your passion, but if we don’t get enough rest and deep sleep, it can affect the concerts that we do with you all. Therefore please, not just in Lima but also where we will be going to in Chile, Brazil, Argentina, and afterwards in the many countries we’ll be going to in Asia, I hope you won’t stay in front of the hotels. Please do this for me. As the world’s most amazing fans, ARMYs, I know you’ll understand and I’ll believe you won’t do this anymore. It’d be great if we could have a more developed (mature) relationship that we can be proud of. We’ll try to do our best for today’s concert too. I’m always grateful and I love you. Love you guys.

RM spoke about the situation at Weverse and asked fans not to camp outside the hotels where they stay. He also pointed out that the crowds were disturbing other guests at the hotel. For the members, this was not just about the noise. Not getting enough sleep or proper rest can also affect their health and their performance during concerts.
The leader of the group also asked fans in the group’s upcoming tour stops, including Chile, Brazil, Argentina and other Asian countries, not to repeat the same thing.
Honestly, this needs to be called out. Why are some fans so focused on seeing BTS that they forget the members are human beings too? BTS perform for their fans and share plenty of moments with them. But their hotel rooms and personal time are not part of that deal.
Camping outside their hotel and making it difficult for them to sleep is not support. It is crossing a boundary.
Fans can cheer for them at concerts, stream their music and support their work without following them into private spaces. The members should not have to ask repeatedly for basic privacy.

If fans really care about BTS, giving them space should not be too much to ask.
