BTS’ Latest Lightstick Sparks Excitement And Outrage Among ARMYs

BTS’ official lightstick, commonly known as ARMY Bomb, has a new version. Available for sale soon, the ‘Light Stick Ver.4’ boasts thrilling new features that promise an incomparable concert experience. While excitement for the new concert gadget blooms, fans find themselves divided on one particular characteristic. Read on to find out what we can expect from the latest lightstick and why ARMYs have been calling out HYBE for changing things up.

All About The BTS Official Light Stick Ver. 4

The latest BTS Lightstick will go on sale on Friday, February 6, 2026. Using fresh tech and a sleek design, the concert accoutrement will have the BTS and ARMY logos inside the spherical part. While one can attend a concert without it, having a light stick elevates the experience to another level.

Launching more than five years after the previous design, the new one was delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic and then BTS’ military enlistment. While it promises newer colours and designs, some fans have issues with the label discontinuing the previous versions during concerts.

BTS Lightstick Update Sparks Reaction Among ARMYs

While most reacted positively to the fresher design and qualities of version 4, some took to social media to voice their unhappiness. According to the Weverse notice about the new lightstick, the previous three versions of the ARMY bomb would sync at the concerts only up to May 28, 2026. In June, only the newest lightstick would be supported. This irked ARMYs, who had only recently purchased the ‘Map Of The Soul: 7’ version. Many hadn’t even attended an OT7 concert with their light-up stick yet, making them feel that their previous buy was unusable.

Some, like the above fan, admitted to not having enough funds for another ARMY bomb after buying tickets, while others were terrified the lightsticks would sell out before they could buy one.
