K-pop idols’ popularity is unarguably massive. They sell out major concert venues like arenas or stadiums, and even the clothes and accessories they wear. Their impact is unmatched, and recently a new list of the most popular K-pop idols currently came out. The list is a mix of 2nd generation, 3rd generation and 4th generation artists. Who Is The Most Popular K-pop Idol Right Now?
A global survey was carried out by Arirang TV between June 23 and July 7. Fans from all over the world responded to the survey in huge numbers. And as a result, among the top male K-pop stars, BTS members dominated top positions. BTS’s Jungkook led the list with 12.7% of the votes, followed by fellow group member Jimin, who received 11.1% of the votes.
RM, the leader of BTS, secured 6.9% of the votes, while V gained 6.5%. BTS’ J-Hope received 6.0% of the votes, whereas SHINee’s Taemin gained 4.9% of the votes. Lastly, BTS’ Jin secured the 7th position with 3.7%. ARMYs were sad as only one member, Suga, didn’t enter the chart.

As for the female category, IU emerged as the most popular K-pop star and garnered 17.0% of the votes. BLACKPINK’s Rosé secured 2nd position with 11.3% of the votes followed by Jennie and Lisa, who tied for the next spot.
They both received 10.6% of the votes. Next on the list is aespa’s Karina with 5.5% of the votes, and lastly, BLACKPINK’s Jisoo received 5.1% of the votes.
