BTS Jungkook Confronts Reporter Over Privacy Breach At Airport Arrival
The K-pop idol was returning from Paris.
Privacy has always been an ongoing concern for celebrities. K-pop idols are often stalked at the airport, and their schedules and flights are sold to stalkers. BTS is unarguably one of the biggest K-pop bands in the world right now, and as their fame grows, so do threats to their security. A reporter recently posted a clip featuring BTS Jungkook, where the star is confronting him. Read on to know more.
BTS Jungkook Calls Out Reporter
BTS Jungkook’s current schedules are private. However, people still flock to social media to post about his whereabouts if they spot him in public. People spotted the BTS singer in Paris and were wondering if he was filming for an upcoming project. Many guessed that was the reason he travelled to the city.
On November 19, BTS Jungkook returned to Korea. Idols are usually welcomed with lots of cameras and reporters when they arrive at the airport; however, that is only the case for public schedules. If a celebrity is travelling privately, their flight schedules are not revealed to the public to respect their privacy and to let them navigate their way safely without crowds forming.
🗣 Jungkook, is the Kancho-Kkang phase over now?
🐰 How did you know I was here?/how did you know to come?
🗣 Oh! It was posted, it showed that you’re in Paris.
👤 So, is the whole “Kancho-kang” phase done now?
🐰 Yeah, that’s finished.
👤 Were you looking for Ian?
🐰 Yeah, I… pic.twitter.com/VoDWOtEgMi— kasy (@koovarbie) November 19, 2025
However, when BTS Jungkook arrived at the Seoul airport, a few reporters, including one from media outlet Dispatch, were present there. They started interviewing the BTS vocalist as soon as he left, and based on his response, even Jungkook was shocked to see reporters there.
Rather than engaging in friendly banter, BTS Jungkook asked them how they knew he would be here. The reporter replied by saying that his location was posted online. Fans are loving Jungkook’s response, and they believe that he was “calling out” the press for following him during his private time. After this, however, the K-pop idol continued to have a respectful conversation with them.
he’s so done, literally like “how r u even here when this was a private schedule” type question. https://t.co/ijbttcBePi
