In early July, a post made on a South Korean discussion platform re-sparked rumours about BTS Jungkook and Aespa’s Winter dating. The now viral post had a thread compiling evidence, ranging from paired accessories to parallel gyms to synchronised social media feeds. While some were eager to join the bandwagon, most people thought the allegations to be bizarre and far-fetched, citing the fact that most idols tend to have similar lifestyles, particularly in terms of fashion and fitness.
What Reignited BTS Jungkook And Aespa Winter’s Dating Rumours
Things escalated again when Jungkook was spotted at the airport on July 7, leaving for the U.S. with fellow BTS members Suga and Jimin. Since the group is said to be producing their next album abroad, their travel was not unexpected, but Jungkook’s manicure was.
Jungkook wore mismatched nail polish on his nails, with one nail a bold blue. This instantly made them compare him to Winter, who had also recently worn a similar nail colour during a music show performance. The coincidence was all it took for some to revive the dating rumours, linking the two again, along with those involving other idols who have worn similar nail polish.
But several netizens were quick to debunk these speculations again. They pointed towards the Polished Man campaign, an international movement where men are encouraged to paint one of their nails in a bid to create awareness of violence against children and women. Jungkook, who is well known for supporting causes, might have simply been a part of the cause.

Fans of BTS and Aespa now seem to be past the possibility of the two dating and feel that all the rumours are far-fetched without any real evidence. BTS is currently preparing for their upcoming album, said to be released next year in March, while Aespa is currently promoting their new release titled Dirty Work.
