During a recent stop on his RunSeokjin Ep. Tour in Anaheim, BTS’s Jin recreated the viral kiss cam scandal moment!

During a recent stop on his RunSeokjin Ep. Tour in Anaheim, BTS’ Jin turned a quiet moment on stage into a viral sensation and it all started with a game of charades. What began as a bit of fan interaction ended with Jin hilariously reenacting a cheating scandal that’s been trending across the internet. For the unversed, a CEO and CPO’s alleged affair was exposed by a kiss cam during a Coldplay concert.

While playing charades with fans between songs, the word Coldplay flashed across the screen. The crowd immediately erupted, referencing the now-infamous kiss cam incident from a Coldplay concert in Massachusetts. At first, Jin looked confused as fans gestured wildly, imitating the awkward embrace and sudden pull-away seen in the video. But once he pieced it together, he couldn’t stop laughing.

Laughing along with the audience, Jin joked about whether the person in the video could have been his friend a playful nod to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, with whom Jin has shared a close musical friendship since their 2024 collaboration in South Korea.
Moments later, Jin joined in on the fun, mimicking the awkward hug-and-duck motion from the video. Fans screamed in disbelief. Online, social media exploded with clips of the moment. One fan wrote that Jin probably had no idea what he was referencing and just copied the crowd’s actions while others were shocked that even global stars were in on the joke. Another commenter couldn’t help but add that it’s wild how a global superstar was now part of a meme tied to someone’s real-life drama.
For context: earlier this week, a couple was caught on the kiss cam during a Coldplay show. Instead of playing along, they quickly separated and covered their faces, prompting Chris Martin to make a lighthearted comment about their awkwardness. That joke aged poorly. Internet users soon identified the pair as Andy Byron, the (now-former) CEO of software firm Astronomer, and Kristin Cabot, the company’s HR chief, both of whom are married to other people.
And according to the latest report, Andy Byron has taken a voluntary exit from the company, while news on Kristin Cabot’s employment is still awaited.
