BTS’ Jin has found himself in a new legal controversy after a complaint was filed against his liquor brand. The complainant raised some serious issues with the company’s labeling and filed the complaint with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs, as per the reports. The investigation on this complaint is currently ongoing, and a decision will come only when that is complete. Read on.

BTS Jin’s Alcohol Brand Faces Legal Trouble

For the unversed, BTS’ Jin and popular TV star Baek Jong Won have a joint venture, and the company’s name is  JINI’s Lamp. It sells some alcohol beverages but after a recent complaint with the Ministry, it is facing serious legal issues. As per a report by TenAsia, the complainant has alleged that the company’s labeling goes against the labeling rules of the country. Reportedly, the complaint particularly highlights the company’s product IGIN highball drinks and alleges that its ingredients are mislabeled and could misguide the consumers about whether the ingredient like watermelon and plum are sourced domestically or from the overseas market.

In an official statement by The National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service, the Ministry informed that they have launched an investigation into the matter, and only after a thorough investigation, any conclusion would be reached. As per the statement, if the company is found guilty, further inquiry and administrative penalties could take place.

On the other hand, Jin will attend the Milan Fashion Week as the ambassador for GUCCI. The BTS band also announced their comeback recently and they hinted at a new album that would reportedly release in March 2026. Are you excited?
