Woman Charged For Kissing BTS Jin Without Consent Says She Never Thought It Was A Crime
The woman says that she is being treated unfairly.
A Japanese woman in her 50s was recently found guilty of s*xual assault after she forcibly tried to kiss BTS Jin on the cheek. Reports now reveal that the woman was indicted by the Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors’ Office on November 12. The case will now be transferred to the 9th Criminal Division of the Seoul Eastern District Court under Judge Lee Jung Min. The woman has claimed that she is being treated unfairly. Japanese Woman Indicted For Kissing BTS Jin Non-Consensually Says She Is Being Treated Unfairly
On November 18, Japanese outlet TBS reported that the woman, identified as A, had been prosecuted in South Korea on charges of forcible harassment. According to reports during the investigation, the woman revealed that she was upset. She said she never imagined her actions would be considered a crime. She also said she feels that she is not being treated fairly.
The Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors’ Office indicted her without detention on 12th November. The Japanese woman is accused of forcibly kissing BTS Jin last year in June during the artists’ “Free Hug” fan meeting at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul’s Songpa District.
The clip of the woman kissing BTS Jin immediately went viral on social media, causing widespread concern. Fans immediately became concerned for Jin’s safety and even filed complaints through the government’s Civil Petition Service, requesting an investigation.

The South Korean police worked with Interpol to identify the woman and have booked her. Since she had returned to Japan, the investigation and delayed and temporarily suspended. It was recently resumed after she returned to Korea for questioning. Fans are not buying the woman’s statements are are urging the authorities to take strict action against her for crossing boundaries.
