BTS’ Jin Asks Fans To Not Grab His Hand During Events After Someone Tried To Kiss Him
Jin asks fans at fan event to touch his hand lightly after previous kiss incident.

BTS member Jin recently held a fansign event in Seoul on Sunday for the promotion of his new album Echo. The fansign event was titled Hi-Seokjin and provided fans a chance to interact with the singer face-to-face. The fans also get a chance to high-five him during a segment called hi-touch. At the event, Jin asked fans not to grab his hand as it hurt and to touch it lightly.
In a clip from the event, the singer was seen telling fans to avoid holding his hand as it was painful. He also requested foreign fans in English to refrain from touching him. Jin’s request for fans to avoid grabbing his hand stems from an incident at last year’s BTS Festa, where a person attempted to forcibly kiss him.

It was a Japanese woman who kissed BTS’s Jin without consent at the event back in June 2024. The incident is currently under investigation by South Korean police for sexual harassment in a public space.
The event took place in Seoul shortly after Jin’s military discharge, where he hugged around 1,000 fans. However, one woman seemed to try to kiss his face instead of just hugging him, causing Jin to quickly turn away. This incident led to many fans expressing their anger by filing a complaint, which has resulted in an ongoing investigation. Police have reached out to the woman, who is currently in Japan, asking her to come in for questioning.
