As part of the show’s traditional farewell, J-Hope interacted with the audience during the Saitama leg of the concert tour by strolling around the barricades and providing fans with an uncommon up-close look. There was a troubling instance where it seemed as though the idol was being inappropriately handled, even though most fans respected his personal space and showed their adoration in polite ways. One woman attempted to touch his chest, and another to give him a hug.
The incident swiftly gained widespread attention and sparked a fierce online outcry. Numerous supporters expressed their displeasure and demanded accountability, denouncing the incident. “Try approaching it from the opposite perspective. On social media, one fan raised the question, “What if a male fan did that at a girl idol concert?” Others highlighted how giving J-Hope has been to fans during this tour, often interacting closely to forge memorable moments.
The event has rekindled discussions about honouring the personal limits of artists of both genders. J-Hope had not made a public statement at the time of reporting.
