J-Hope Etches Name In K-Pop History
The 52nd Korean Broadcasting Awards took place on September 3 in Seoul and BTS’s J-Hope was honoured with the prestigious Best Singer award. It is a moment that is worth remembering and has fans overjoyed. Although he couldn’t attend the ceremony in person, the ‘Mona Lisa’ singer shared his heartfelt thanks on Instagram.
Well, this isn’t an ordinary award. As per reports, this award recognises artists who make a big impact on culture and broadcasting.
Another factor that makes this award extra special is that it focuses on more than just chart success. The Korean Broadcasting Awards celebrate artists who influence the industry and the nation. Furthermore, J-Hope’s win is historic, as he’s the first solo artist to claim the Best Singer title since 2016 and the first BTS member to achieve this as a soloist.

The event also honoured other artists. The Grand Prize went to MBC’s drama Doubt. Lee Jun Hyuk took home Best Actor for his role in SBS’s Love Scout, while SBS’s Buried Hearts won Best Drama. Song Yeon Hwa earned Best Producer for Doubt, and Park Bo Gum was named Best Variety Star for his work on KBS2TV’s The Seasons: Cantabile of Park Bo Gum.
For the ‘Mona Lisa’ singer, this award adds to his growing list of achievements and armys are elated.
