Is HYBE Sabotaging BTS To Focus On New Groups? Here’s Why Fans Think So!

BTS is undoubtedly one of the biggest boy groups in the world. The group, which debuted in 2013, have seen a meteoric rise in their career over the years. The K-pop band and their management company, BigHit Entertainment, now a subsidiary of HYBE, is often credited for promoting the Hallyu wave in the West. However, HYBE has now been the target of criticism by some BTS fans for allegedly overlooking the group in comparison to newer bands under HYBE. Read on to know more.

ARMYs Accuse HYBE Of Sabotaging BTS

All seven BTS members recently got discharged from their mandatory military service. The first member to serve in the military was Jin, followed by J-Hope, Suga, RM, V, Jimin and RM and Jungkook. The group went on a break during this time and is now set to release a new album next year in March.

ARMYs are, however, disappointed with HYBE as they feel that they are now devoting enough time and effort into the BTS members’ solo activities. They feel that the company is focusing more on younger groups like CORTIS and ILLIT.

Since 2022, HYBE has expanded into various fields like gaming and multiple regional trainee programs. HYBE has also launched offices in regions like LA, Latin America and most recently India. However, ARMYs feel that these expansions have diverted the company from its focus on BTS, the very group that helped fund the company into the giant it is today.

Fans are taking to social media platforms to criticise HYBE for their alleged mistreatment towards the BTS members. From delayed album shipments to a lack of promos, they feel that the company is sabotaging the group. The lack of BTS members’ solo songs being nominated in major music award categories has also frustrated them.
