Netizens called the hotel's action shameless and greedy.
Even before BTS announced the dates and cities for their 2026 and 2027 world tour, fans began booking hotels in South Korea. Many hotels near Goyang quickly sold out and once again showed how much power the group has to bring people together. But soon, some fans faced problems. Reports came out that one hotel in Korea asked a person to cancel their already confirmed room. Many fans got angry and said the hotel was just trying to make more money in a greedy way. Read on
One fan posted a screenshot of their message exchange with the hotel. The hotel said that after BTS shared the Busan concert dates, they got a huge number of bookings all at once. They claimed they now had more reservations than rooms available. So, they asked the fan to please cancel their booking and said sorry many times.
However, the fan didn’t hold back and answered strongly. They pointed out that they had booked the room first, so the extra bookings should not cancel their stay. The fan asked if the hotel wanted to raise the price for someone else who would pay more.
