On January 19, BTS fans, aka ARMY got very excited after news of a free show at Gwanghwamun Square surfaced. The group is possibly going to perform on March 20, March 21-22 and the agency plans to choose 20,000 to 50,000 people through an online form. The news spread fast online and made fans happy. BTS To Hold A Free Performance At Gwanghwamun Square?

The boy band’s agency spoke to Newsen. They said they are talking about it now and an official update will come when the place and dates are final. ARMYs can’t wait for it and why not? It will be a great opportunity to see their idols live and sing along with fellow fans.

One user wrote, “OMGGGGG, this is going to be insaneeee. I badly wanna go.” Another user wrote, “wait is this true? I can’t believe itttt. They love their fans so muchhhh. best mennnnn! saranghae!”

For those of you who don’t know, BTS’s fifth album, titled ARIRANG will be released on March 20, 2026. The title comes from a famous Korean folk song which many see as an unofficial national song. The song talks about missing loved ones, being apart and staying strong in tough times.

Fans are eagerly waiting for the album and their excitement definitely shows. On Spotify’s Global Countdown Albums chart, the group’s album ARIRANG is number one with 1.81 million pre-saves as of now.
